LK Menzies is a children’s author who specializes in life lessons through the lives of animals. Her characters help explain in a language that children understand and can relate to. She wrote the “JJ All American Yorkie” stories around the life of her and her husband’s own animals and all of her characters are based on their personal experiences. After graduating college with a degree in psychology and human services, she chose a life as a mentor to troubled teens and specialized in helping with abused and neglected children. She and her husband have four children and seven grandchildren and currently live in Texas. Along with her love of writing she is a health and life coach and enjoys helping others reach their dreams.
